Chocolate Mike in McCall

Here I am laying (lying, lieing?) in the sandy beaches of the Odberg property. I was pretty tired because the night before Anita and Molly took me out on the town at midnight to search out the new Harry Potter book. I was so excited to get my claws on it. I know who dies.

Ah, scraps again. I had to fight off those nasty little ants for these Ruffles. Where's my beer?

I was the sole male to be invited to go with the ladies to the McCall Yacht (Yak) Club. What a treat!

I don't know if you can see me but look close...on top of Jennifer's head. I'm hoping to do a Greg Louganis right off the top of her bean into her champagne glass.

Lots of fun was had by all in McCall. Hey, I made a rhyme. Whaddya know? I'm a lush and a poet.

Look soon for pics of my adventures in Minnesota.

What's on Chocolate Mike's Schedule?

Chocolate Mike is going to be very busy! On Friday, he will go to McCall, Idaho for a fun weekend on the beach. I'm sure we will have great pictures of him swimming, getting a tan, and of course, drinking beer :o) On Sunday, he will go on his first long-distance vacation to Minnesota and North Dakota. He may see the world's largest cow, the world's largest buffalo, Lake of the Woods, a Fargo RedHawks game, and other exciting adventures.

After returning from the Midwest, Chocolate Mike will head north to Canada. He will have a great time, I'm sure.

If you are interested in taking Chocolate Mike on a trip, please let Anita or Molly know. We are hoping Chocolate Mike can continue his adventures for years to come!

Chocolate Mike meets the Wallaces!

Chocolate Mike had a chance to meet our friends the Wallaces, who just moved back to Moscow. We had a picnic for them at our house on July 8. Here, he is getting to know Jennifer a little better.

Chocolate Mike brought his share of food to our house for the picnic- a bowl of grapes.

No, I don't think Chocolate Mike is an alcoholic (most of our pictures of him show him with a beer). For some reason, we just think it's funny to take pictures of a plastic dinosaur drinking beer!

Ray, Nate and Molly were really enjoying Chocolate Mike

Chocolate Mike helped Nate cook for the 4th of July. They grilled sausages and chicken.

Nate and Chocolate Mike had time for some serious bonding. They are buddies now!

The Story of Chocolate Mike

Here is our new friend, Chocolate Mike. We first found him on a geocache trip on Lake Coeur d'Alene, ID. He was in a bag of toys that Molly had brought to replace the items that were taken out of found caches. Two year old Jennings wouldn't give the dinosaur up, so Molly let him keep it. Anita started to play with Chocolate Mike to keep Jennings entertained. She found out he was bendable, so she started to really have fun putting him in different poses. Chocolate Mike got his name when we stopped for lunch and Jennings wanted "Chocolate Mike" (chocolate milk). We thought it was the perfect name for a dinosaur! Thus, the adventures of Chocolate Mike began (yes, we did steal a toy dinosaur from a two year old for our own entertainment...)

Chocolate Mike got a little crazy at the restaurant.

Four year old Eric found an unidentified object in one of the geocaches. It had a hole in the bottom that was just the perfect size for his finger. So, he called it a "finger protector." We needed to use the finger protector to keep the bottle from rolling, so Chocolate Mike could rest.
