Flo and Alien Visit the Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota!!!

Well, I had two weeks of vacation time coming After working all year on the Chocolate Mike Blo So one night when the guys and I were gathered 'round the dinner table I said, "Guys, if you could go anywhere in this great big world, now Where'd you like to go ta" They said, "Hey, we wanna see the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota" They picked the biggest ball of twine in Minnesota
Yes, there IS a Twine Ball Inn... but it's a bar!
Flo (scaling the big ball of twine): Ah declare, this is the most fun I've had since the Great Fly Fest of 1969!!

Alien and Flo Meet a New Friend

Alien: Here we are on our way to Fargo. Where are the mountains? Where are the hills?
Flo: Ah declare this land is FLAT!
BBB: Stand back, I'll karate chop you!
Alien: Who the heck are you? Where the heck did you come from?
BBB: Anita's mom named me... I like to go by BBB... now, stand back or I'll karate chop you!
Alien: Oh no, not another crazy one.
YES, Oof-da tacos at the Roseau County Fair... YUMMMM!!!
What could be better than fried bread dough, taco meat, a pound of cheese and sour cream?
BBB: Now, stand back or I'll karate chop you!

Alien Hits Medora and Lake of the Woods

Yee-Haw! It was a stomping good time in Medora! We enjoyed the Medora Musical. The kids even got to go on on the stage. I had to stay in the audience (I never get to have any fun)
The North Dakota Badlands is so pretty and quiet. Reminds me of home
The next time I got out of the camera case, I was in Baudette, MN, on Lake of the Woods. What is that big fish? Willie the Walleye, you say? I must investigate...
Yikes... help! This big fish is going to eat me!!!

Alien and Flo on the Road to the Midwest

Flo: Well, FINALLY Mr. Spike is letting me leave Idaho! Ah love him and all, but after this winter, I could use a break! Ah'm excited for our two day drive to North Dakota and Minnesota. We are going to have so much fun! Ah do love car games and songs! "1000 bottles of pop on the wall, 1000 bottles of pop..." (a good southern lady would never think about singing about beer)
Flo: Well, look who Ah found in Butte, MT- a true southerner!!! It is most certainly a pleasure, Mr. Sanders. Ah wonder what chicken tastes like... hope not frog legs!

Spike: Yeah, Mike! It is great to have you back with us!
Mike: I love this park in Harrison Idaho. Especially the ice cream part!
Spike: I love the annual week at the Silvernale compound with all the lovely ladies. Boom Chicka Boom Boom.

Alien: Poor Anita! Josie kept taking photos of her like she was uber-famous or something.
Flo: Well, Anita did discover me so she has my utmost respect and admiration.

All: Woo Hoo! Let's Party! Crickets, Woo!

Mike: Is this the life or what? And now we have our own little personal floatation devices.

Mike: That's more like it. Keep Molly away from me, Mary! She'll lose me and I don't want to go down in Lake Couer d Alene.

Obi: What a reunion! Why, I don't think I've met some of you.
Star Spangled Bear: I think you're right, Mr. Wan.
Mike: Has my very exsistance spawned this many copy cats?
Molly: Well, Mike some of us take vacation at the same time. We'd fight over you.
Spike: Wait a minute you mean to tell me we're just chopped liver.
Molly: Not at all! You're equally loved and cherished.
All: Awwwww!
Toto: woof!
Alien and Flo are in Minnesota traveling with Anita and family. Be sure to check out their adventure soon!

Jedis & Pirates & Kilts! Oh My! - May 2, 2009

Obi Wan was present for Nate and Molly's brother's wedding in Ferndale WA. It was quite the spectacle to behold.

Obi Wan: Nate and Molly were a little shocked but I see this stuff all the time. People dress up crazy for weddings .....a lot! I mean I've been the inspration for many nuptuals. Check this out:
Star Wars Wedding in Vegas
Jed I Do
Another Star Wars Wedding
And another one - The groom is a Mon Calamari???
I'm just saying that themed weddings happen more often than we think about. and the Goth theme is no excpetion.
Offbeat Bride - A blog dedicated to those brides who don't do white
Goth's in Hot Weather - This bride's dress resembles the one Bonnie wore.

Obi Wan: I was intrigued by the heavy metal that was being sported around the recpetion. And I don;t mean Motley Crue although i guess they were a Motley Crew in some respects.

Obi Wan: Nate would make a fine padawan learner just by looking at him in this outfit and the way he wields a sword.

Wild Women in Walla Walla - April 2009

Flo finds love

Flo went with Molly and her mom, aunt, sister to Walla Walla for their annual Girl's Weekend.

Flo helps Linda, G and Carrie finish off their beer samplers at Mill Creek Brewery.

Flo: Beer? I though Walla Walla was all about the wine?

Flo: That's more like it!

Flo: We stayed at the historic Marcus Whitman Hotel in downtown Walla Walla. Just lovely.

Flo: Molly had to take her aunt on a geocaching excursion. No new friends were found which was good because I didn't want to share this grand time with anyone else.

Flo: You know women and their frequent potty breaks. Especially after drinking.

Flo: Ack! The sun's so bright but there I am in front of the wine bag.

Spring Break March 2009

Obi Wan at the Hot Springs near Donnelly Idaho.

Obi Wan and Chocolate Mike went to Boise Idaho with the Spain girls for spring break. They both has a great time visiting Bryan and Lisa Pepper (Molly's brother and sister-in-law) going to Rafiki Play, Joe's Crab Shack, thrift stores, putting together puzzles and on the way home going to Gold Fork Hot Springs. Well, Obi Wan enjoyed it as for the second time, Molly misplaced Chocolate Mike and left him in Boise for 3 months. Bryan and Lisa took good care of him although they left him at home as well when they went on their excursions.

Chocolate Mike at Rafiki Play right before Molly lost him.......again.....
Chocolate Mike: Please don't let Molly take me anywhere. I either get stuck in backpacks for months or left at relatives homes.
