The Story of Chocolate Mike

It all started in July 2007, when we were at Mary's cabin on Lake Coeur d'Alene. Little Jennings found a dinosaur in Molly's geocache box, and he didn't want to give it up, so Molly let him play with it. Well, soon the adults started having fun with it, taking pictues of it in various poses and with various objects (especially beer). Ultimately, we just stole it from Jenning (yes, we did steal from a 2 year old; no, we don't have any morals) and decided that it would accompany us on any future trip we may take.

Chocolate Mike got his name when we took a break from boating and went to a restaurant for lunch. Jennings yelled that he wanted "Chocolate Mike" (translation: chocolate milk), and we decided it was the perfect name for a plastic dinosaur.

Through his travels, Chocolate Mike has picked up a few friends, so what started as a blog about a lone dinosaur has now turned into a blog about Chocolate Mike and His Posse.

Paradise Creek Stream Clean-Up

Sure you can find hubcaps, plastic ice cream banana splits, Smirnoff bottles, and a KFC dinner at the annual PCEI Paradise Creek Stream Clean-up. But can just anyone find....

Toto in a picnic basket? Introducing a new canine companion for the gang to enjoy. And he comes with a handy carrying case. I'm sure he'll be very happy with his new friends. Last year we found Obi-Wan and this year Toto; the PCEI Stream Clean-up is quite the pick-up scene.
