We stayed in a hotel on the SeaTac strip the night of December 20th so the predicted Snowpocalypse wouldn't interfere with our ability to get to the airport. The hotel was a zoo with stranded travelers.

Driving across Washington State was way fun in the arctic temperatures. After this minus 11 the temperature actually got to minus 20. Turns out the Durango, at 100,000 miles, doesn't really have that powerful a heater anymore. Not good to find out on a 5 hour drive.
