Dude, I totally scored when I was picked to go to Florida with the Thorsteinsons! What a great vacation! It was in the 70's and 80's all week (except Saturday, which was windy and 65). We got there on Friday (the 7th) and drove to Okeechobee to visit Anita's sister Joyce and her family. While there, we got to spend some time at the ocean and even did a geo-cache. On Sunday, we drove back to Orlando and spent the week at Disney World. We got home Saturday (the 15th). It was spectacular, and we are all sad that we couldn't stay a few more days.
This is a picture of our hotel. It was huge! They had an amazing pool and boat and kayak rentals. But, we didn't have much downtime, so we went swimming just once, and we never did get to rent a boat or kayak. The room was okay (just a standard room), but the cool part of staying at a Disney hotel was getting wake-up calls from Stitch, Mikey and Goofy.
